Project Overview
The Edison landfill solar installation is composed of 24,000 Hyundai solar panels for a complete size of 7.8 Megawatts DC of solar installed. The solar array sits atop the IRL Landfill in Edison New Jersey. Sloping ground variation was a challenge during the initial design, but the Ballasted Ground Mount with articulating post was the perfect solution for the ground variation.
Project Results
The IRL solar landfill project was completed in Edison New Jersey in the summer of 2016. The solar array was completed within 4 months of initial deployment and met all requirements for fit and function. The completed project is owned by the utility; PSE&G and is part of their renewable portfolio in New Jersey.
