Obligatory statement, “every project is different”, but commercial solar systems (no battery) can significantly reduce daily electricity costs. 10% is easily achievable at most sites. Large sites with more sun-exposed areas could see 40%+ reductions in monthly electricity bills. At all sites, a commercial PV system will provide long-term protection from rising electricity bills. Admittedly, PV system ROI is easier for banks to calculate than battery ROI (because of variable battery incentives, battery power export rules, program/pricing guarantees, etc.). However adding commercial batteries to the solar system can substantially add to the annual savings by crushing peak demand spikes and managing demand response.
